Old Klang Road a.k.a Jalan Kelang Lama got its name because it was the only road connecting Kuala Lumpur to Port Klang. It was built in 1965 and was the first and oldest road in Kuala Lumpur. Today the road remain an important arterial road in Kuala Lumpur despite being surrounded by major highways such as Federal Highway, Lebuhraya Puchong-Damansara (LDP) and New Pantai Expressway (NPE). The major landmarks of Old Klang Road includes Pearl Point and Scott Garden.
The suburban community of Old Klang Road in recent years is being vigorously revitalised with many middle to upmarket high rise residential buildings such as VERVE Suites commanding probably the highest per square foot price at RM 1,000 per square foot. Others include The Petalz and South Bank Residences. Coming up will be the The Millerz Square by EXSIM, set to be the new landmark of Old Klang Road.
The upcoming 52km MRT 2 Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya Line is expected to complete in 2022 with Bandar Malaysia and Kuchai Lama stations located nearest to Old Klang Road. It is also close to Mid Valley City and upcoming mega malls at the south of Old Klang Road such as Pavilion Bukit Jalil and Paradigm Garden City at Taman OUG. These are good pull factors.
Old Klang Road is an ideal location, especially first-time homebuyers who are looking to stay near to the city centre.
